2009 Senate Bill 187

Transfer wetlands enforcement to federal government

Introduced in the Senate

Feb. 4, 2009

Introduced by Sen. Roger Kahn (R-32)

To no longer use state agencies (and money) to enforce the wetland land use regulations required by federal law, but instead leave this to federal authorities to enforce. Michigan is one of just two states that uses their own resources to enforce these federal regulations.
