The executive recommendation for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2009-2010 Department of Corrections budget. This would appropriate $1.958 billion in gross spending, compared to $2.040 billion, which was the FY 2008-2009 amount enrolled in 2008. Of this, $1.898 billion will come from the general fund (funded by actual state tax revenues), compared to the FY 2008-2009 amount of $1.978 billion.
