To prohibit schools from scheduling special elections to increase taxes or borrow money, rather than having these on regular school election dates. Senate Bill 751 would require school districts elections to take place during the even year August primary or November general elections. Under current law school special elections can take place on any of the four regular election days each year (in February, May, August or November).
