Reported without amendment
With the recommendation that the substitute (H-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
Amendment offered
To adopt a version that further dilutes the Algebra II curriculum requirement.
The amendment passed by voice vote
Passed in the House 104 to 3 (details)
To add an additional alternative to the Algebra II requirement that was originally added to the curriculum requirements for high school graduation under a 2006 law, but has subsequently been watered down. The bill would allow a student to take a "statistics or functions and data analysis" class instead of Algebra II, in addition to other existing options.
