To revise a 2006 law that gave government, college, and university employees who get health coverage from an entity contracted to provide or reimburse health care services, the same ability to request a review by an independent external review organization to resolve benefit disputes as is provided to those covered by insurance companies under the "Patient's Right to Independent Review Act.” The bill would expand this to the multi-government health coverage purchasing pools authorized by a <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2007-SB-418">2007 law</a>.
