To require the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to establish an off road vehicle “safety training academy” with curriculum based on a nationally recognized model. The bill establishes training standards and maximum pay rates for instructors, and maximum charges for students. Under current law, ORV drivers under age 16 must take a training course.
