To prohibit considering an expression of an expression of sympathy, compassion, commiseration, or a general sense of benevolence with regard to the pain, suffering, or death of an individual as evidence of liability in a medical malpractice lawsuit. The bill is tie-barred to House Bills 4571 and 4680, meaning it can become law only if those ones do. Those bills would generally make the procedures and standards of harm somewhat less rigorous for medical malpractice plaintiffs.
