To give the Department of Natural Resources and Environment the power to enter purchase or service contracts related to oil and gas pipeline leaks, and require the contractors to hire only citizens or legal aliens, and make a “good faith effort” to hire just Michigan residents and companies to do the work. This is part of a package including House Bills 6498 to 6507.
