To change the form of the law imposing “registration” and regulation of sanitarians so that it instead imposes “ licensure.” This has no practical effect on the operations of people in this occupation. However, the bill also potentially expands the scope of the licensure mandate by extending it to activities related to a lengthy and potentially all-encompassing list of “environmental health work” areas, including food protection, “housing,” swimming pools, air quality and noise, occupational safety and more.
