2010 Senate Bill 1415

Establish paperless no-fault vehicle insurance verification system

Introduced in the Senate

July 2, 2010

Introduced by Sen. Alan L. Cropsey (R-33)

To require the State Police, with the cooperation of the Secretary of State, to create a “paperless,” real-time, on-line vehicle insurance status information database system that would allow police officers to determine if a vehicle on the road is currently covered under the mandatory insurance provision of Michigan’s no-fault insurance. The bill establishes procedures and regulations for the system.
