2010 Senate Bill 1445

Require MichiganVotes-like “missed votes” info on legislature’s website

Introduced in the Senate

Aug. 11, 2010

Introduced by Sen. Glenn Anderson (D-6)

To require the legislature’s website to include the date of each absence by a member, the names of each member not voting on final passage of a bill, and a summary of total votes not taken by each member. Note: This website (MichiganVotes.org) already provides this data in a searchable, sortable format, for every legislator going back to 2001. Users can look tables showing the missed votes of all legislators for any given date range, and using the “advanced searches” page, can look up the missed votes of particular legislators sorted by date range, issue category, and/or keyword.
