To expand the grounds by which members of the military in active state service are granted the same immunity from civil or criminal liability as enjoyed by a peace officer. The bill would expand this immunity from situations where the individual has been “ordered by the governor to respond to terrorism or safeguard vital resources” to ones where the order is “to act affirmatively to assist or aid in the general welfare of the people of this state”.
