Introduced in the House

March 28, 2011

Introduced by Rep. Tom McMillin (R-45)

To create an exception for members of a person’s family to a state law against computer hacking. The bill would exempt going into a spouse’s computer and email from the law unless the spouse has “expressly prohibited” this, nothing is damaged or deleted, etc. The bill would also explicitly authorize accessing the computer of a parent or guardian’s minor child.
