2011 House Bill 4781

Revise unemployment benefit formula

Introduced in the House

June 16, 2011

Introduced by Rep. Wayne Schmidt (R-104)

To change the formula by which an individual’s state unemployment benefits are based. The $362 maximum benefit would not increase, but below this cap the amount would be 47 percent of the individual's average weekly wage over a year, plus $6.00 for each dependent up to five. The current benefit is based on an highest average quarterly amount rather than a annual one.
