To revise a law that requires the state to mail a home heating credit (subsidy) application to anyone who received welfare benefits during the year. The bill would add a requirement to give anyone who got this subsidy the previous year a “continuation affidavit” guaranteeing that they get it the following year, assuming the person’s income hasn’t exceeded program caps. Money for this subsidy is paid directly to the relevant utility (gas, electric or steam).
