To revise details of a <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2008-HB-5934">2008 law </a> creating an expedited process by which a fraudulent financing statement naming a public employee or his or her spouse as a debtor could be terminated. The bill would allow the targets of such fraud to initiate the required process in any “appropriate filing office” instead of filing with “the Secretary of State”.
