To replace the current system establishing performance and assessment criteria for individual public schools with a new one, and post the school assessments online as “letter grades” plus some additional factors. The revised standards would include student proficiency as the largest factor, student improvement, achievement gaps among subgroups, college and career readiness, graduation rates and fiscal performance. Public schools that fail to meet state standards are subject to delayed and qualified sanctions.
