To specify that the “recreational uses” for which the state Natural Resources Trust Fund can acquire land include recreational watercraft and vehicle riding, bicycling, horseback riding, off-road vehicle riding, hiking, trail walking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Also, to expand the definition of “recreation facilities” on which the fund can spend money to include highway “welcome centers.” NRTF money comes mostly from oil and gas drilling royalties.
