To not charge the spouse, parent, sibling, or child of a member of the armed services who died during combat for the state park “passport” that is an option when paying for annual license plate renewals. These fallen soldier relatives are eligible for a “gold star” license plate authorized by a <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2011-SB-102">2011 law</a>.
