To revise details of a law that requires retailers to perform ephedrine and pseudoephedrine buyer “background checks” using a federal drug “precursor” database containing information on individuals involved in methamphetamine crimes. Specifically, the bill would require information in a state “internet criminal history access tool” (ICHAT) database to be reported to that federal database; non-prescription sudaphed sales would then be prohibited to individuals whose names are on that state database.
