The Senate version of the Department of Environmental Quality budget for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1, 2015. This would appropriate $502.5 million in gross spending, compared to $517.1 million, which was the amount appropriated the previous year. Of this, $150.3 million is federal money, and the rest is from state and local taxes and fees (including a 7/8 cent per gallon fuel tax).
