To move into a separate statute the comprehensive regulatory regime imposed on “mixed martial arts” by a <a href="http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/2003-2004/billanalysis/Senate/pdf/2003-SFA-4335-F.pdf">2004 law</a> that codified regulations on these competitions, boxing matches and other “unarmed combat” competitions. House Bill 4220 would consolidate these “mixed martial arts” regulations into a separate section of the current law.
