Introduced
by
To revise procedural details in the law that requires crime victims to be notified of parole hearings involving the perpetrator and allowed to provide testimony if they choose, so it accommodates the proposal in House Bill 5079 to allow “medically frail” prisoners to be paroled to a nursing home, hospice or hospital. Victims would retain the same rights under the bill.
Referred to the Committee on Appropriations
Reported without amendment
With the recommendation that the substitute (H-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
