To explicitly define as a crime purchasing or attempting to purchase a firearm with the intent of furnishing the firearm to a minor or any other individual prohibited from having a firearm, and establish penalties. Note: “Straw-man” gun purchases in which the buyer of record is actually acquiring the firearm for another are already prohibited. This bill adds provisions regarding minors and ineligible buyers, and authorizes penalties ranging from 90 days to four years depending on the circumstances.
