To prescribe in statute the items that must be included in annual crime reports that police agencies are required to file with the state. Among the items would be the number of excessive-force complaints, the number of shooting incidents involving officers, the disposition of related investigations, demographic details about complainants and individuals involved in police shootings including race, gender and ethnicity, and more.
