To increase the penalties for the crime of committing or attempting financial exploitation or embezzlement of a vulnerable adult’s assets. The bill doubles the fines and most sentences, the amount and length of which are based on the amount stolen. These currently top out at $50,000 and 15 years (or $100,000 and 20 years if the bill becomes law).
