To elect the eight-member governing boards of the University of Michigan, Michigan State and Wayne State Universities for four year terms, rather than the current eight-year terms, and limit members to two four-year term. The bill contains a provision that it can only become law if House Joint Resolution EE is also adopted by a vote of the people, which is a constitutional amendment that would limit board members to two four-year terms.
