To create a law enforcement exception to a law that prohibits an employer or employer’s agent from demanding or accepting a fee or other consideration from an employee as a condition of getting or keeping a job. The bill would permit pursuing “clawbacks” from an officer who leaves the department before the time period stipulated in an agreement in which the police agency forgave or reimbursed the individual’s law enforcement training academy expenses in return for remaining a specified number of years.
