To revise a law that permits townships, villages, and cities of a certain size to impose special assessment property taxes for police and fire services. The bill would change population thresholds in a provision that makes some cities eligible under this law, and appear intended to allow Saginaw to keep levying this tax. See also Senate Bill 313.
