To revise a law that prescribes various state lead abatement activities, and that imposes duties, requirements and penalties on property owners, to reflect House Bill 6242’s proposal to borrow $1.5 billion for various environmental and public health measures. Among other things the bill would include in current government response activities paying to replace in-home plumbing and fixtures that may contribute to lead exposure, and water filters if testing determines higher lead levels.
