To revise a law that provides for the pretrial release of a person charged with a misdemeanor, by repealing a provision authorizing “interim bonds” in certain circumstances, and simply requiring that the defendant be released on his or her own recognizance. This is part of a bail reform package comprised of House Bills 6455 to 6463.
