To amend the Michigan election law to establish that voter registration information would not be open for public inspection and could not be released or made available by the Secretary of State, voter registration agencies, or local clerks. This is said to protect voters’ driver’s license number, date of birth and manual signatures to information that is exempt from disclosure.
