The executive budget recommendation proposed by Gov. Rick Snyder for the Fiscal Year that begins Oct. 1, 2018. This proposes that state government spend $56.8 billion during the year, of which $22.6 billion is money paid by federal taxpayers and lenders. This is up from $56.5 billion originally authorized in the previous year’s budget.
