To repeal Michigan’s right-to-work law, which prohibits employers and unions from entering contacts that compel employees to pay dues or a “service fee” to a union as a condition of employment. However, this would not apply to public employees under the U.S. Supreme Court’s June 2018 ruling in Janus v. AFSCME, which held that compelling public employees to pay dues or fees violates the 1st Amendment's freedom of speech and freedom of association provisions. See also House Bill 4033.
