To revise details of a law that requires a doctor to have a “bona fide prescriber-patient relationship” before prescribing drugs that are subject to abuse. The bill does not change the definition itself, which requires a medical service provider to have reviewed a patient’s relevant medical records, and completed a full medical history and current condition assessment including an examination conducted in person or a via telehealth system. See also House Bill 4225, which eases this requirement for patients in hospice care.
