Introduced
by
To require the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) to disclose the actuarial computations used in rate setting. The MCCA is the reinsurance provider that covers unlimited vehicle crash medical claims when they go above $545,000 coverage (currently) that is mandated by the state no-fault auto insurance law. The bill was introduced prior to passage of 2019 Senate Bill 1, a comprehensive auto insurance reform measure that potentially makes this bill obsolete.
