To establish and (along with House Bill 4747) specify the duties of a childhood lead poisoning prevention and control commission to evaluate and make recommendations on a state lead poisoning prevention program that requires all young children enrolled in Medicaid to be screened with a blood test. The commission would be comprised of representatives of various public and private agencies and contractors.
