To revise a law that provides for the pretrial release of a person charged with a misdemeanor, by revising a provision authorizing “interim bonds” in certain circumstances, and simply allowing the defendant to be released on his or her own recognizance. This is part of a bail reform package comprised of House Bills 4351 to 4360.
