2019 Senate Bill 6

Impound license plate if driving without a license

Introduced in the Senate

Jan. 15, 2019

Introduced by Sen. Pete Lucido (R-8)

To require police to immediately take the license plate of a car being driven by a person who does not have valid driver license. An individual would have 10 days to show that the vehicle is insured, or else the plate would be destroyed and a new vehicle registration (license plate) would have to be obtained.
