To amend one of the two laws that authorize a governor to assume extraordinary powers during a declared emergency by deleting the section that specifies the powers that the governor may assume (Public Act 302 of 1945). The bill deletes is intended as a “placeholder” designed to initiate a reassessment of those powers.
