To establish that on election night a local “board of election inspectors may transmit the statement of returns to the county clerk after the polls close on election night by telephone or other electronic means.” The bill requires the county clerk to tabulate these results as they are received, and prescribes revised procedures for delivery and receipt of the physical poll books and tally sheets.
