To mandate that every public school student, parent and staff member must be notified within 12 hours if a student or employee contracts COVID-19. Also, to impose rules and restrictions on the types and amounts of online instruction issued by closed schools, and require schools to create and publish details by Dec. 31, 2020 of a plan to improve their heating plants to “to mitigate the spread” of the disease. Note: The bill was introduced on Dec. 17, long after it had any chance becoming law before the 100th Michigan legislature adjourned for good.
