To make the legislature subject to open records disclosure requirements, subject to a broad range of exceptions and exemptions. The state Freedom of Information Act does not apply to the legislature or governor's office, due to separation of powers issues. This bill prescribes the duties of the Legislative Council related to appeals and other procedures, document retention requirements for legislative offices, and more.
