To mandate that a licensed “child care organization” that cares for infants age nine-months or younger must use a “sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) prevention monitor or home apnea monitor that monitors and tracks the breathing and heart rate of each sleeping infant. “Child care organizations” are defined in Michigan law as “children's camps, children's campsites, children's therapeutic group homes, child care centers, day care centers, nursery schools, parent cooperative preschools, foster homes, group homes, or child care homes”.
