2021 House Bill 4797

Grant legal privileges to medical marijuana user

Introduced in the House

May 6, 2021

Introduced by Rep. Alex Garza (D-12)

To revise provisions in the medical marijuana law that provide legal immunity to a “qualifying patient” as defined in that law who has been issued and possesses a marijuana registry identification card, to also establish that the individual “must not be denied any right or privilege.” This is linked to the proposal in House Bill 4796 to mandate schools administer marijuana-infused product or CBD products to certain students.
