To mandate a background check to purchase a firearm in Michigan or to bring one into the state. Specifically, the bill would revise the current requirement that the "instant" federal background check required for all gun purchases from federally licensed firearms dealers apply to other gun purchases, and on an individual bringing a gun into the state.
