To repeal the requirements established in a <a href="https://www.michiganvotes.org/2011-SB-7">2011 school health insurance reform law</a> that limited the cost public schools may pay for employee health insurance benefits. That law capped the amount schools could contribute to employee health insurance costs at 80%. This bill requires schools to pay “at least” 90% of employee health insurance benefit expenses, broadens the definition of covered expenses.
