To amend a 2005 law that established a new crime of trespassing upon a critical infrastructure, defined as power plants, waterworks, chemical plants, refineries, transportation facilities, fuel storage sites, etc., punishable by up to four years in prison. This bill would add the Mackinac Bridge and the Portage Lake Lift Bridge between Houghton and Hancock on the Keweenaw Peninsula.
