To revise the law that makes it a crime for state Treasury officials to “divulge any facts or information” related tax to returns, establishing that this does not apply to revealing to the public how many state taxpayer dollars are given to certain corporations and developers selected by state “economic development” officials under laws enacted by the legislature. In other words, the amount of taxpayer subsidies given to specific private companies would no longer be a government secret.
