2022 House Bill 5722

Mandate public schools disclose curriculum and more

Introduced in the House

Feb. 2, 2022

Introduced by Rep. Gary Eisen (R-81)

To require public school districts to make the following information available to the public before the first day of a new school year: The curriculum at each school and the classes offered as part of it; the textbooks, literature, research projects, writing assignments, and field trips that are part of the curriculum; extracurricular activities implemented during designated school hours or under school authority; a list of each certificated teacher or other individual authorized to teach. Failure to comply would require state officials to reduce by 5% of the total funds payable to the district under the state school aid act.
